Thanksgiving in Utah {11.19-29.15}

Colby and I took  a very long but very fun road trip for Thanksgiving this year to Utah! We made scenic stops along the way and visited lots of family. I wish I had taken more pictures while we were there! I don't know what I was thinking! We were able to visit with 4 grandparents, 5 aunts and uncles, 22 cousins (and kids of cousins), 3 brothers and  sisters, 3 nieces, 5 nephews and mom and dad. Whew! That is a lot of people!

Side Note: Our blog is a travel blog and more like our online journal of our adventures together. I have lots of pictures because that's how I want to remember my memories. And since we had a lot going on in November I finally was able to update our online journal all at once. So if you would like to see more pictures of what we did this month here they are. We took a cabin trip to Ruidosos, New Mexico with some friends and went to Antelope Canyon on our way to Utah for Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, Google Maps only lets you enter up to 10 locations on one map; the number shown should actually be ~54 hours total in the car!! We stayed one or more nights in: Albequerque, Richfield, Elk Ridge, Draper, Logan, and Blanding, and stopped for Church in Shiprock, NM on the way home on Sunday. Great trip!! We also stopped at Antelope Canyon and got to take some really amazing, beautiful photos.
Capitol Reef

We did one hike in Capitol Reef. It took us to this awesome arch called "Hickmans Bridge"
Colby did a great job blocking the sun for this panorama!

We saw lots of deer and wild turkeys, and some elk at night on the way back to Richfield

At the Rowe's house we got to eat some amazing smoked brisket that Lee made and hang out with baby Liberty.

Nice hair...Elvis ;)
It snowed the morning we left Logan!!! We only had to drive in it for 3 hours, which was not bad considering we drove another  18.5 after that :)

Antelope Canyon {11.20.15}

Colby and I drove to Utah for Thanksgiving and had a great time. The drive to Utah is a long one, but we made it even longer by taking the scenic route to see Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and then Capitol Reef the next day. Call us crazy because we are!

Looking up antelope Canyon. This looks like Monument Valley at Sunset!

Ruidoso, New Mexico {11.14.15}

On the second weekend of November, Colby and I took a trip with a group of our friends. We rented a cabin together in Ruidoso, New Mexico. We had a ton of great food, fun hiking and amazing views of the mountains. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends!
The deer roam everywhere! It was like Estes Park in Colorado with all the Elk, but this place had all deer. They were literally everywhere. I fed these deer carrots right our of my hand.

All the kiddos minus 3 babies! We had a full house.

This first hike we did was a fitness loop trail. It had different workout stations. This station was crunches lol

This workout station was meant for jumping up and down onto the log:
But Colby thought of a balancing game instead. You have to try knock the other person off the log using only one hand.
As you can see, Colby won. My balance is not that great.
The whole gang!
One of the perks of having a photographer as a friend - amazing pictures like this! Thanks Tiffany!
