The summer is passing too quickly! There has been so much going on and it has all been so much fun, but I am a little excited to start school. I like having a schedule and knowing whats going to happen. However, I am not looking forward to papers and homework, but Colby and I are almost done! But here is a quick recap with what has happened during last two months.

First, Colby and my sister share the same birthday! So we had a birthday celebration. There was cake, ice cream and lots of presents. One of my favorite presents was I made Colby a photo book of our first two years together. It was so much fun to make! Colby also got himself the insanity workout! It has been fun and he has made lots of progress.

I went to Boston and helped my sister move to Las Vegas! I am so excited that she is finally close to our family again and that we will being seeing her more often. Boston was nice to visit, but I would not want to live there personally. I am definitely a west gal that likes the country. But we had some good times besides the all the packing. We went to the beach and found tons of little sand dollar, crabs,  and this weird looking sea worm thing that we had no desire to touch. We went out a couple times to eat with her friend. We also had the famous Boston Cream Pie that is way to expensive for its size, but its only once and it was delicious. Then we went to my sisters favorite bakery called Mike's Pastery. It was nice having sister time since we don't get that very often anymore. After packing and getting the moving truck off we drove to the good ol' west! It was a very long drive, but we went through Pennsylvania for a bit and was able to visit our old house that we use to live in when we were younger. It is amazing how huge the trees are now (you can't even see the house!). It was nice when we drove through Kansas (not because of views) because it was so nice to visit a my friend sherri from BYU-I! We finally made it to Colorado Monday afternoon, and then that Wednesday Colby and I hopped in the car and drove to Utah for the family reunion! It was a busy week with lots of driving.

The family was reunion was really fun and we had a great time! Although it rained every afternoon it was fun to have some social times in the cars while trying to stay out of the rain :)  But all the activities were really great too! We rafted down the provo, went to seven peaks, and went boating. Then one night me and Colby and his parents were able to go to the Sound of Music play! Which was amazing! The cast and singing were awesome! Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures! So next time we will. Then, last but not least, their was Baby R's blessing! Which was so neat! He is absolutely adorable of course and it was great to see the whole family their to support him. The family reunion had good timing so the majority of us could all be there.

A few times Colby has been able to climb some 14ners. When I was in Boston he went with Donny and Jeff Skalla and did three of them, for specifics you will have to ask him because I do not know all the names. Then, Colby and I were invited to go to Copper Mountain with some friends and go mtn biking with them. Colby had the opportunity to climb Mount Quandary with my little brother while there. And then that brings me to our next news... Colby and I were biking on a paved trail from Vail to Copper and the bike had some issues and he crashed! This is the second time Colby has crashed while riding a mtn bike and I hope this not a tradition he intends to keep up within the coming years. He sprained his left wrist pretty bad and we are still keeping in touch with the doc to make sure there was no ligament damage so we will see. However, besides that it was so nice to spend the weekend high in the mountains where it was nice and cool. And besides Colby's crash the bike rides were awesome! We were able to go from Copper to Frisco as well and that was a little over 6 miles. ( I will post pictures from Colby's mtn climbing when I get some)

Well that's a quick recap and I can't wait for what is next! I am going to be sad to leave Colorado's beauty and adventure, but I am excited that school is starting again so we can be closer to being done. All in all we have had a great summer so far. I only feel bad for our primary class because we have been missing quite a few times, but they will soon have a teacher that they will see more often.

Below are some pictures of our happenings here in Colorado!

Lexi and Colby pointing the microwave because we had it at 14 seconds for June 14th.

Katie loves Dora!

New teeter-totter for the kids!

Me and Colby took Katie with us to Florissant, CO. Did you know Colorado use to have redwood trees! Yep! Millions of years ago and this is them as petrified  wood!

Every year we have beautiful roses and for the past 3 years we have had lilies!

I took Carsten to Build-a-Bear Workshop because he had a gift card for his birthday back in February! He named his bear Buzz. :) And then we went to Pet City where we were able to play with some puppies!

Our cute dogs Zeus and Hercules!

We are riding the lift up Copper Mountain so I can ride my bike down. Unfortunately, Colby had already crashed on his bike by this point so he could not come with me to ride down the mountain. But he had a scenic ride down the lift :)
