Spring is here...and so are babies!

Spring is here...and so are babies!

The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy! And from now until we move to Texas it is going get even busier. So buckle up! Lately we have had so much to celebrate: anniversary, baby blessings, and a baby shower! Can you feel the love? ;) We are not announcing anything, so if you wish to stop reading you can.

First off, Colby took me skiing for the first time and I was really nervous. I did not know if I would be any good because I have tried snowboarding on a few occasions and it did not go well for me. I hated it and it hurt! So, we tried skiing this time and I cannot believe everything I have been missing out on! It was so much fun and I actually rode the lift several times after practicing. The last three times I went down the run I didn't fall once! It was fun even  if I was sore the next day. I cannot believe I have lived in CO my whole life and never skied. Oh wait, I know exactly why -- it is so expensive!! Luckily we found a really good deal and if we can continue to find good deals I see skiing in the future to be a regular activity.

Next, Colby and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary! On April 9th, 2011 I married my best friend! I am so grateful that we are married for time and all eternity and that we get to spend forever with each other. I know God would not have it any other way and I am grateful I am part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For our anniversary I prepared tin-foil dinners and made apricot chicken in the crock-pot before I left and brought it with me. I picked Colby up from school and blindfolded him and took him up Provo canyon to a park by the river. We enjoyed dinner, a little bit of fishing and smore's. Then to top it all off, we came home, had sparkling cider and peach cobbler and watched a movie. It was so much fun! And Colby bought me the most beautiful lilies I have ever seen! They are my favorite!

Colby fishing away! Can you spot him?

This past weekend we spent with family in Logan, UT. While there I was finally able to meet another niece and nephew for the first time! We had so much fun spending time with everyone. On Saturday, Colby and his brothers were able to kayak the Black Canyon of the Bear River. It looks like they had a good time even if some of the rapids were a bit difficult, but they made it happy and healthy! On Sunday, we spent the day with family and my two nieces were blessed at church and we had a huge luncheon celebration. Later, we had a baby shower for Sierra (my sister-in-law) who is expecting a baby girl in August! Needless to say, we had a busy, but fun weekend. And the fun is not over, we are having some family over this week and more celebration time for when Colby and I graduate in a couple weeks!!

At the put-in. This run only flows for a few scheduled weekends every year!
