New Year, New Start, New Chapter

I can't believe another wonderful whole year has passed! 2014 was very good to us and we look forward to the year 2015!!! Our new year is starting full swing! Colby and I move to Texas in February and he starts his job on March 9th! That means we are moving our stuff in probably about 2-3 weeks! AAhhhh I can't believe it! We also have to find an apartment and get everything ready in Texas. The time has flown  by so fast and we are really going to miss the beautiful Rocky Mountains that have been my home for 24 years, but we are really excited to have this new experience and see what it has in store for us.

2014 Highlights:

Move to midland for internship and then  Chevron gives Colby a job
Grand Canyon rafting trip
MyKel graduates from BYU with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development

To finish it off our Christmas break was great! We went to California and spent Christmas with Colby's whole side of the family. Despite it being a little crowded we had a ton of fun. And even though it was in California it was freezing most of the time! The morning we left our car thermometer ranged between 13-18 degrees F on our drive out of the Kern Valley! The sad part is that even though it was freezing, there was no snow to go along with it. However, the hot tub did come in handy practically every night we were there. While there we were able to play football and basketball, go on walks, do campfires in the backyard, hiking, sledding, caroling, antique shopping, make a visit to LA, and celebrate Christmas with family.

Happy 2015!!
Since the whole family (except for one brother-in-law was unable to make it because of work responsibilities) was there we took some family photos! It was nice to have the whole family together.

Next, Colby and I were able to spend some time in Las Vegas with my sister and her family and they also wanted family pictures. Colby and I tried our best to be photographers and we got some really cute shots. My sister also insisted on taking pictures of us too and she did a great job for her first time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
