March Madness!
Sorry if the title is deceiving, but I will not be talking about basketball, even though I love playing basketball. However, to cheer you up BYU did WIN the NCAA sixth Fan $100,000 contest!! We are Winners!! :)
First off, we found a wonderful couple to live in our apartment while we live in Texas for the summer. It did not take long, and we found ourselves making a difficult decision because all the couples we met were absolutely wonderful, but we are confident we found a great couple to take care of our place while we are away.
Next, we celebrated my 23rd birthday! We had so much fun! I started the day off with a free Denny's meal with my friend, who is my teaching companion for primary class at church. The interesting thing was that previous Sunday we found we had the same birthday, so we both got free birthday meals! Then, me and Colby went to the Peppermint Place! They have the cutest candy store and I have been going there since I was a little girl, so it was a sweet trip to go back! And yes, we did buy some of their delectable candies! Coincidentally, we have some friends who invited many of the geologist graduates to their cabin over the weekend of my birthday, so we went up and Colby surprised me with cake and ice cream for everyone and we had a lot fun with friends. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night, but it was worth it! I still feel like it is my birthday since I joined every birthday club with a free meal. We have been able to go on more dates recently since I get a free meal every time :)
In the cabin they had these awesome old phones!! And they actually worked! |
We did a little bit of snowshoeing by the cabin before it got dark! I love the mountains! They are absolutely beautiful! Oh, Colby was there too ;) |
The Cabin! "oooooo, aaaaww" I want to own a cabin now! Who wants to go in on one with me?! |
Last week, Colby was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi! I am so proud of him and all his hard work. He loves what he does and I am so blessed to have him in my life. Not only is he a great student and hard worker, but he is a wonderful husband and my best friend!
Here are a few more pictures of the happenings with the Hazards! Have a great week!
